Now when the shooting was done the actors can take a nap and all they can do just wait for the final edit. But we'll keep them busy for a bit longer. Today we are meeting with one of the lead actors from The Last Uchiha - Ioan Lov. Ioan performing outrage ninja Sasuke has definitely got smth to tell us about.
-Hello Ioan, or should we call you Ioan Uchiha since the project is done?
-Whatever.
-How did you like the project, was it some kind of new genre you worked at?
-I was sceptical at first, when Ibraim described our world I imagined a mix of modern-warfare and superheroes, but as production developed I was really happy with everything. He didn’t want to make a recreation of Naruto, you know with the headbands and cosplay clothing.I think cosplay is awesome, I’ve done it myself, but when it comes to cinema, he made the right decision of style and everything looks really dangerous and real.First time doing an action film where I fight with katanas and guns, feels good.
-Were you familiar with the ‘’Naruto’’ or you had to catch up the plot, while pre-production?
-All my friends talked about the Naruto universe and were so obsessed by it, I always felt like I knew the least about it.Not anymore.I watched Itachi & Sasuke battles the director sent me, then I watched a few more, and a few more…you know how it goes.
-Ioan, did you find any sort of connection between you and your character?
-Its hard to put any connections to a guy like Sasuke, yet he is very likeable amongst his peers.I felt as this was my first lead into portraying him well, everything else was just how I would react if these things happened to me - acting like you do not know this would have happened, and terrible things happen to Sasuke.
-What can you say about your acting mate Alex(Itachi Uchiha)?
-He’s a guy who acts, I like that about him, really easy to work with and just hang out.He was always like “Ok, lets rehearse this fight again” and me, Ibra and Alex spoke to each other like bros, so filming was just a bunch of friends doing what they like for a living, professionally.
-Do you understand what Itachi’s done, or you find it completely wrong?
-You have to do what you have to do to protect the ones you love, even if that means losing a few.
-What cinematic character were you mostly looking for as a closest similar example to Sasuke Uchiha?
-As I said, Sasuke is a hard guy to wrap your head around and I really just cared about the role, not if he looks like someone. He looks like a young Vincent Valentine, but he acts like himself.
-How did you feel like being on set, was it hard to work with Ibraim?
-Ibraim pushed me, in a wheelchair, through revolving doors and we played american football in-between scenes.I had a lot of fun, but I also learned a lot about the Naruto universe, I mean the guy knows everything about everyone. He’s not sparing any prop blood and has a really cool vision on cinema and the way action is done.
-The film is all around the Japanese mentality, do you find it as something you don’t understand?
-I took all I could accept and thought stored it as knowledge.
-I've heart that Ibraim is looking forward for making a sequel, how do you feel about it?
-I’m still excited for the premiere of this movie, I’m sure the fans will love it. Sequel is a must, Excelsior.
